Co-op Living

Members purchase a share to join (similar to a damage deposit) and pay a monthly housing charge (similar to rent), but unlike being a renter, members have a voice in co-op governance.
The Community Land Trust forms a trusted partnership with their co-op communities. Members still have a say in governance and community building, while the CLT oversees property management, debt financing, asset management and long-term financial stability. This model preserves and maintains the property for members, ensuring long-term viability and building trust for governments and other funders.
